This Privacy Policy explains how Pheasant Nation LLC, 2028 23 RD, Kearney, NE 68845 ("Pheasant Nation," "we") collects, uses and shares information through pheasantnation.com, the Pheasant Nation app, our Shopify store, events and giveaways. We do not sell your personal information.
1. Information we collect
- Account and purchase information: name, email, phone, shipping and billing address, order and membership details. Payments are processed by Shopify and its payment partners; we do not see or store your full card number.
- Information you give us in forms: Join Now (name, email, state), mailed free entry forms (name, address, email, phone, date of birth), mailed Contribution Forms (the same details plus payment card information, which we use only for the one-time charge and then destroy), Share Your Story and recipe submissions (text and photos), contest entries, banquet registrations and messages to us.
- Cash Contribution Vouchers: when you make a cash contribution in person, the voucher collects your name, mailing address, email, phone, date of birth and eligibility certifications. Our staff photograph the signed office copy and send it to our giveaway records, where it is logged so we can credit your entries, verify eligibility and confirm receipts. We keep the paper office copy with our giveaway records. Your copy is your receipt.
- PN Liability Waiver: the waiver is signed through our e-signature provider, Jotform, which collects your name, contact details and signature along with the signing date and device details, and stores the signed copy for us.
- Hunt Planner: hunt plans, dates, areas, party names and email addresses you add, RSVPs, and check-ins. If you allow it, your device's location at the moment you check in. Hunt plans are stored on your device; plans, RSVPs and check-ins are also sent to us so we can coordinate hunting areas.
- Automatic information: basic device, browser and usage information, and information stored on your device (such as your sign-in and preferences) so the app works.
2. How we use it
- To provide memberships, verify active members, ship free gifts and orders, and provide member features.
- To run giveaways and contests under their Official Rules, including verifying eligibility and notifying winners.
- To keep a record of signed waivers, coordinate hunting areas and check-ins, and keep members safe.
- To publish content you submit (with your first name and last initial) in The Upland Report, The PN Recipe Book and our channels.
- To send membership, renewal and service messages, and, if you opt in, news and offers (you can unsubscribe any time).
- To protect our members and the Services, prevent fraud, comply with law, and improve the Services.
3. How we share it
We share information only as needed to run the Services, with service providers who handle it for us, including: Shopify (store, checkout, member accounts), Netlify (website hosting and form submissions, including staff uploads of Cash Contribution Vouchers), Google (the email account that receives those uploads), our app database provider, and mapping providers (maps and satellite imagery). When you choose to send hunt invites with Gmail or add hunts to Google Calendar, that information goes through your own Google account under Google's terms. Our website shows TikTok, Instagram and Facebook content and links; those services may collect information under their own privacy policies when their content loads or you visit them. We may also share information when required by law, to protect safety or rights, or as part of a business transfer. We may publish giveaway winners' names and states as required by the Official Rules.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We use browser storage and cookies needed for sign-in, your preferences and app functions. Embedded third-party content (such as TikTok) may set its own cookies. You can control cookies in your browser settings; some features may not work without them.
5. How long we keep it
We keep information for as long as your membership is active and as needed for the purposes above. Signed waivers and giveaway records, including mailed entry forms and Cash Contribution Vouchers and their photos, are kept for as long as needed for legal and insurance purposes (generally at least seven years). You can ask us to delete other information as described below.
6. Your choices and rights
- You can update account details in your Shopify account, unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email, and turn off location access in your device settings.
- You may ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to stop any processing you can lawfully object to, by emailing support@pheasantnation.com. Depending on where you live (for example California, Colorado, Virginia and other states with privacy laws), you may have additional rights; we will honor them as required by law and will not discriminate against you for using them.
7. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Minors may take part only with a parent or guardian. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, contact support@pheasantnation.com and we will delete it.
8. Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
9. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy and will post the new version with a new effective date. For material changes we will notify members by email or in the app.
